O hospital de campanha do Pacaembu, em São Paulo, deu alta nesta segunda (29) aos dois últimos pacientes com covid-19. Nilza Dantas Batista, 61 anos, e Nelio di Moura Moyes, 57 anos, que estavam em tratamento no local, foram liberados e a unidade de saúde será fechada.
De acordo com o prefeito Bruno Covas (PSDB), o fechamento se deve à baixa taxa de ocupação registrada nos últimos dez dias nos hospitais de campanha da capital.
“Desde o dia 1º de junho, a taxa de ocupação dos leitos dos hospitais de campanha e de enfermaria da prefeitura de São Paulo vem caindo. Estamos há quatro semanas em queda nessa taxa. E nos últimos dez dias estamos abaixo dos 50%. Então, isso dá tranquilidade para fechar os 200 leitos do hospital do Pacaembu”, explicou Covas.
Montado em 6 de abril, o hospital de campanha do Pacaembu atendeu 1.493 pessoas e consumiu cerca de R$ 23 milhões. Com o encerramento das operações no local, R$ 7 milhões em equipamentos do espaço serão doados para três hospitais municipais da zona leste de São Paulo, região que apresenta a maior mortalidade por coronavírus.
